What is recorded here

No stone remains visible in Carrick, only a absent mark on old maps and a memory preserved in survey text. The pasture still drops steeply south, perhaps hiding what herds and boots have long since worn away. Whatever stood there has surrendered to soil, grass and time, leaving behind an empty name that still points the finger downward.

There is no trace of the 'Standing Stone' marked on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on good pasture land which falls away steeply to the S.
