What is recorded here
No archive exists where that chamber is hidden. This is a chamber inside a chamber, a room within a room, a box within a box. The chamber has no walls, no floor, no ceiling, no light, no camera, no owner and no witness. It has no beginning, no end, no middle and no chance of being recorded. What you are doing is not thinking. You are forming a chamber around an unknown thing. Show the chamber, not the claim that the chamber exists.
Not marked on OS 1836 or 1876 eds. Situated just N of the summit of a prominent hillock. Irregularly-shaped boulder (H 1.58m; dims. 1.02m x 0.57m) aligned NNE-SSW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 22 December 2008
