Standing stone in Bolany

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the floor of the W-E Blackwater Stream which is c. 50m to the S. It was recorded in 1939 as a stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims. c. 0.5m x 0.2-0.3m; H c. 0.5m) (OSFM). It was not visible at ground level in pasture in 1987. The possible standing stone (WX006-011----) is c. 100m to the SW on the other side of the stream, the burnt mound (WX005-013----) is c. 150m to the N, and the possible standing stone (WX006-014----) is c. 250m to the NE.
