Ten stones once stood in Ed. Kiely's field, but nine were dragged away and now lie forgotten by the boundary fence. The last survivor rises one foot ten inches from the soil, a lonely witness to the vanished circle. Bowman measured its girth in 1934 yet never learned where the others belonged, leaving the field empty of meaning but heavy with loss.

Bowman (1934, 375) recorded standing stone on Ed. Kiely's land, '...1ft 10in high and 11ft 9in in girth'. Exact location not known. There were also nine other stones in same field 'varying in height from 1ft 6in to 2ft 6in...removed many years ago...now lying by the boundary fence' (ibid.). Bowman was unable to obtain any information on original position of stones. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
