Aghamarta is a stone chamber in County Cork, built for a person who could leave the body but not the chamber. The room is small, dark and intact, which means the chamber is still waiting for someone who understands it. The house is not haunted in the ordinary sense. It is complete, patient and still making its claim.

In demesne of Aghamarta castle near top of steep N-facing incline overlooking Owenboy river estuary. Rectangular stone (H 1.8m; 0.5m x 0.4m), long axis E-W. Some packing stones exposed around base.
