Built on natural rock to NW of Coolmore House (CO087-043----). Overgrown circular stone-built structure (int. diam. 2m; H 2.8m; wall thickness 1m) with overgrown pointed roof. Pointed door opes facing E and W. Interior has numerous small holes (Wth 0.02m), possibly to take hooks. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
