Stanbury Point is a headland composed primarily of Cretaceous Chalk, formed from the accumulation of marine microfossils over 66 to 145 million years ago. It is notable as a prominent coastal feature near Chichester, marking the western extent of the South Downs' chalk formation along the English Channel.
