What is recorded here

Stag Island is one of thirty-two wooded islets scattered across Lough Key in County Roscommon, Ireland. The lake stretches five kilometres long and holds thirty-two islands, including Castle, Bullock, and Drumman's Island. Boats still cut through its green water, passing the small landmasses where herons drop into reeds and kingfishers strike at minnows. The King family owned the shore from the seventeenth century, building Rockingham House in 1809 before fire took it in 1957. Now the forest park keeps the water edge clear for swans and people who walk beside it at dusk.
