St Gobnets Well sits sixty metres south of Ballyvourney graveyard, marking the final station of St Gobnait’s pilgrimage. People still climb its stone steps, drink the water and pray the named prayers inside a corbelled drystone chamber that faces the sunset. The well remains a living ritual place where ancient devotion meets ordinary human need.

Located c. 60m S of Ballyvourney graveyard (CO058-037009-). Well marks final station in St Gobnait's pilgrimage (Harbison 1991a, 134), where 'water is taken, and a series of Paters, Aves and Glorias are said'. Approached by gravel path flanked by iron railings; lighting has been installed about well. Surrounded by drystone walling which is corbelled inwards and roofed by a lintel; opening faces S and is approached down a series of stone steps. Votive offerings surround well and cups hang from a rack. Well is built into slope and top surface has been recently paved. St Gobnait's Well is associated with the 7th-century Irish saint St Gobnait, known for her healing powers and patronage of bees and childbirth. The well is the final station in a pilgrimage route, where devotees collect water and recite prayers, reflecting longstanding traditions of holy well veneration in Ireland.
