St Fillan's Well is associated with St Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and saint venerated in Scotland, particularly in Perth and Kinross, where he is credited with founding a monastery and performing miracles. The well is traditionally linked to healing cures, especially for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was a site of pilgrimage and ritual washing in medieval times.
