St. Brandons Well is associated with St. Brendan, a 6th-century Irish monk and saint known for his travels and founding of monastic settlements. Holy wells dedicated to St. Brendan are often linked to cures for skin ailments and general healing, with traditions of leaving coins or making offerings at the site.
