'st Arnty's Cell'

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records 'st Arnty's Cell' as Ecclesiastical Building (13th Century)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Arnty’s Cell is associated with St Arnty, a lesser-known early Christian saint possibly linked to Cumbrian or Scottish tradition, and the site may have been a hermitage or small monastic cell. Little folklore survives, but such cells were often places of prayer and pilgrimage, sometimes connected to local healing traditions.
