Detached four-bay two-storey house, built c. 1890, with single-bay single-storey hipped projecting porch to left. Now also in use as public house. Timber pilaster pubfront inserted to ground floor having panelled pilasters and moulded cornice to accommodate commercial use. M-pitched artificial slate roof with rendered gable chimneystack. Painted rendered walls with roughcast rendered panels at first floor. Plaque inscribed "Tom Crean Antarctic Explorer 1877-1938". Painted sills and lugged render surrounds to replacement uPVC windows. False sash windows to porch. Set adjacent to east end of Anascaul Bridge.
