What is recorded here

Skiba Geo is a coastal rock feature on the Orkney Islands, formed by differential erosion of sandstone and mudstone, typical of the Lower Paleozoic (Cambrian to Ordovician) age. It is notable for its steep-sided, narrow inlet or "geo" formed by wave action along bedding planes and joints in the rock.
