What is recorded here

No visible trace survives of the sheepfold marked on the second edition of the OS map. It was located on a low rise in rough grazing land, a short distance E of the Blackwater river. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1437.
