Triple-span road bridge, built c.1820. Dressed coursed stone block abutments with rubble stone piers and parapets with rusticated and tooled margined voussoirs to arches and bowed cut waters. Bridge is incorporated into irregular coursed rubblework of the road revetment.

This finely constructed road bridge attests to the expansion of the road network in the west of Ireland. This expansion of the road networks would have greatly improved the economy and communications in this remote area thereby making this an important social as well as technical monument.
