What is recorded here

Rosberry pasture in County Kildare still holds two faint banks, perhaps the shadow of Sarsfield Castle. They mark a broad rectangular enclosure, eighty metres long and fifty wide, buried beneath grass and time. The castle itself has vanished, leaving only a ghost shape in the soil. What lived inside that forgotten rectangle remains unknown, but the land still remembers its outline.
In gently undulating pasture. There was no visible surface trace of the castle in 1986 (SMR file), however, two sides of a possible bawn were noted defined by very low, broad banks (H c. 0.2m; W c. 2m), suggesting a possible rectangular enclosure (est. dims L c. 80m E-W; Wth c. 50m).
