Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Sanday, Rethie Taing as Chambered Cairn (neolithic)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE. It represents an important example of early prehistoric funerary architecture in the Orkney Islands, reflecting the ceremonial and social practices of Neolithic communities.
