What is recorded here

Freestanding cut sandstone entrance gates with flanking walls and piers, erected in 1852, incorporating a bellcote. Date plaque to wall. Decorative urns to gate piers and cut stone cross to bellcote. Pointed-segmental arch entrance with decorative wrought-iron gates.
The entrance gates at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church create an impressive entrance to the modest church and are a notable addition to its setting. It is evident that this aesthetically-designed feature constructed using ashlar masonry and carved decorative details was executed by skilled craftsmen.
