Cemetery, established c.1860, accessed by gates. Ruled-and-lined render to walls with painted capstones. Pair of tooled limestone gate piers capped with stone crosses on limestone plinth. Cast- and wrought-iron gates. Pedestrian gate to north. Flat, recumbent and standing grave markers. Central cross monument and a large number of high cross style grave markers.
Cemeteries play a significant role in local community life. The decorative gateway and large number of elaborate grave markers reveals the importance of the role of a place of burial to this particular community.
