Detached two-bay single-storey former gate lodge, built c.1800, abutting boundary wall of Saint Conleth's Reformatory, with shed to rear, set within its own garden. Now used as a private dwelling. Pitched tiled roof with lead ridge tiles, rendered chimneystack and some cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed window opening, replacement uPVC windows and stone sills. Round-headed door opening with tooled door surround, replacement timber door and replacement fanlight. Set behind iron railings.

This gate lodge is set into the boundary wall of Daingean's former industrial school. Modest in execution, its design is fitting for that of a structure associated with the former barracks, which later became Saint Conleth's Reformatory School. Pleasant features include its limestone walls and round-headed door opening.
