Rubha na Rainich is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in Scotland, dating back over 2700 million years. These rocks formed through high-grade metamorphism of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks and are notable for their durability and role in the geological foundation of the Western Isles.
