Rubha nan Gall is shown as a headland on the public map of Na h-Eileanan Siar. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Rubha nan Gall is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located in the Outer Hebrides, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in the British Isles, dating back over 2,700 million years. These metamorphic rocks formed through high-pressure and high-temperature deformation of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks, and the area is notable for its geological significance and rugged coastal landscape.
