Rough Island

Rough Island is a small tidal islet fifteen metres offshore from Murder Hole Beach in County Donegal, where dangerous currents and cliff drops give the coast its brutal name. The sea claims the land at high tide and returns it at low, forcing anyone who walks there to read the water instead of trusting the shore. That simple rhythm turns a remote Donegal bay into a place where pleasure and danger share the same path.
