According to Barrington (1976, 292), there is a 'large rock with scribings' in Dromtine townland. Despite extensive searching, no rock scribing could be identified here. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
