What is recorded here

Approximately triangular granite boulder in the garden of Spahill House, found in a field about 400 metres to the northwest, carries three cupmarks, an oblong depression and several pocked grooves. The marks are small enough to touch, yet old enough to belong before written memory in County Carlow. A person may have knelt there, cut cups into granite and left the stone behind when the field changed hands. The house garden now holds what the landscape once kept.
