Kinahan recorded an unmarked quartzite knap with cupmarks in Moyagh, but the stones have vanished or hidden beneath gorse. The landscape keeps its secrets, offering only scattered rock outcrops where memory and myth still touch. What was carved remains lost to time, visible only in the doubt of those who search.

Kinahan (1889, 281) reported an unmarked 'Knapp of Quartzite' on which were cupmarks. These were not found on this occasion. There are numerous gorse-covered rock outcrops in this vicinity.
