Derreennaclogh holds a D-shaped groove cut into fractured sandstone, hidden beneath pasture soil until recently scraped open. The shape defies usual rock art expectations, suggesting either a forgotten human marker or a modern trick dressed in age. Nearby, a collapsed drystone wall waits under the grass, promising more secrets if the earth is patiently uncovered.

In rough pasture, upon a plateau, at a slightly lower location, c. 33m to E of rock art panel (CO131-074----). A slightly rough and fractured sandstone outcrop which is flush with the existing ground level and has recently been de-turfed (D 0.15-0.2m) in places to expose an unusual motif. A man-made D-shaped feature (long-axis N-S) which has a slight indent in straight side to W. Motif is defined by a groove (Wth 3-4mm; D 2-3mm). A collapsed drystone wall has also recently been uncovered beneath the sod, c. 0.25m to W. This is not typical rock art and may even appear modern, although it has only recently been de-turfed.
