Lissavoher

In undulating pasture. Circular, slightly raised area (27.4m N-S; 26.9m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 3.25m), stone faced in parts; external fosse (D 1.1m). Lissavoher, Ballybane West is a circular earthen ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period (c. 500–1000 AD), characterized by a raised central area, a stone-faced bank, and an external ditch. Local tradition associates such sites with the "fairy folk," and they were often avoided or treated with reverence in Irish folklore.
