What is recorded here
Ballymoon castle stands in County Carlow beside rock art that Tommy Clarke identified between the ruin and the road. The marks escaped discovery during a later inspection, suggesting they hide beneath grass, shadow or forgotten sight. They may still wait there, marking the land before human memory collapsed into certainty.
Rock art noted between Ballymoon castle (CW016-055001-) and the road (pers. comm. Tommy Clarke). Not located when inspected in September 2004.
