End-of-terrace three-bay two-storey house with half-dormer attic, c.1840, on a corner site with two-bay two-storey side elevation to east, and five-bay two-storey return to south originally two separate three-bay two-storey (north) and two-bay three-storey (south) houses. Renovated, c.1890, with pubfront inserted to ground floor. Extensively renovated, c.1990. Now also in use as guesthouse. Pitched roofs with artificial slate, c.1990, (pitched slate roofs to return), clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, replacement square rooflights, c.1990, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered quoins to ends and to corner. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and moulded rendered surrounds to front (north) elevation having hood mouldings over. Replacement uPVC casement windows, c.1990. Timber pubfront, c.1890, to ground floor with inscribed pilasters, intermediary panels, fixed-pane timber display windows, timber panelled double doors (leading to glazed timber panelled double doors to interior), glazed fascia over having consoles, and moulded cornice. Elliptical-headed door opening to return with fluted timber pilaster doorcase, timber panelled door, and decorative fanlight. Road fronted on a corner site with flagged footpath to front.

Occupying an important corner site linking Main Street (Parnell Street) and Church Street, this well-proportioned house forms an integral component of the streetscape. Of particular interest is the fine pubfront to ground floor, which is of artistic design merit, while one house incorporated into the return (1 Church Street) retains an attractive doorcase incorporating a fine, delicate fanlight.
