Road

Grove White (1905-25, vol. 3, 89) recorded the remains of an old road said to have been miraculously made for St Lateerin. It consisted of a section '50 yards long at Garraun [sic.], near the passage to the farmyard of Mr John O'Connor, and about a mile east of Mr Leader's of Keal, and near the bank of the Blackwater. It is not paved' (ibid.). Site could not be located. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
