What is recorded here

The site (L 38.256m; Wth 1.6m; D 0.04m) is orientated NE-SW and consists of light brushwood and twigs. The twigs occur as small clusters between the brushwood which is predominantly longitudinal. One peg sits at the W edge of the site at an 80° angle. Where not disturbed by milling, the wood is in good condition. A number of pieces have metal-cut chisel points and there is evidence for branch-trimming. Wood species include birch and hazel. The site is located in poorly humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat.
