Situated on flat bogland. This site consisted of a narrow linear trackway (L 69.5m; Wth 1.5m) constructed of longitudinally laid roundwood one layer deep. The trackway was dated to between 838 and 799 BC. (Murray 1999, Killoran 69, 64-5) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
