What is recorded here

The site (L 5m; Wth 4m) has an apparent NNW-SSE orientation but has suffered extensive machine damage, in addition to possible disturbance in antiquity. It consists of a scatter of oak planks, roundwoods, brushwood and five pegs on the field surface Woodworking is evidenced by chisel, wedge and pencil points on a number of elements and by one plank with a mortice. The site is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. The site was dendrochronologically dated to 964±9 BC or later (Q9525).
