What is recorded here

This togher (L 3.6m min.; Wth 1.3m; D 0.1m), orientated NNE-SSW, consisted of longitudinal hazel rods overlain by a poorly preserved hurdle panel. It was radiocarbon dated to 1208-923 BC (2875±35 BP, GrN-16634) (Raftery 1990, 24; 1996, Derryoghil 31, 159-60). When inspected in 1999 (Dunne) it comprised quite densely packed longitudinal small and large brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.04m) with roundwood (one is 0.11m in diameter), aligned E-W (overall L 15m; Wth 1.2m). Two longitudinal roundwoods extended along the centre of the togher.
