IndicatedGraveyard · 20 ydTom: I’m here to help · Computer-made picture. It does not show this monument.Explorer Tom Graveyard in Castlelands overlooks the Bandon river and has tombs for lords who probably thought they were very important. The De Courceys are buried there, which is fancy talk for 'rich people under dirt'. Look up, the best bit is always higher than you think.
Ringrone Castle (in Ruins)Castle, tower house · 96 ydExplorer Tom Ringrone Castle in Castlelands, County Cork is just a fragment of a wall overlooking the Bandon river. Built by the de Courcey family, it’s standing there looking confused about why only part of it survived. Wave to the river mouth for me, it likes attention!
Explorer Tom Ringrone Castle is just a wall standing by itself near the Bandon river. Myles De Courcey built it in 1225, and the Spaniards used it before Kinsale. It’s not much left, but it’s still got that de Courcy attitude. Wave at the wall!
bridge507 ydExplorer Tom Ringrone’s masonry bridge is all about craftsmanship and probably judging your footwear while you cross. I bet Saint Patrick gave it a thumbs up before leaving Ireland for good. Bring your best historical face for this one!
post box1232 ydExplorer Tom The Post Box in Castle-Park is mounted on a pub wall and wearing a P&T stamp from the 1930s like it’s a badge of honour. It’s got Celtic Revival lettering that’s trying very hard to remind you that we were independent, thank you very much.
James FortVisitor information · 1343 ydExplorer Tom James Fort has caught my eye in County Cork. I bet a visitor information with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
World War I MemorialMemorial · 1434 ydExplorer Tom World War I Memorial has caught my eye in County Cork. I bet a memorial with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
Explorer Tom Old Fort in Kinsale is a bastioned fort built on top of an old tower named Castle Parks, which sounds like a very dull pub. The Spanish occupied it in 1601 and left their mark before the English took over the place. Bring the dog, it'll have opinions.

I bet a mountain / peak with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
Explorer Tom Sandy Cove Island has caught my eye in County Cork. I bet a islet with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
