Ring-ditch in Popeshall is an 8m diameter earthwork on a prominent hilltop in County Dublin, Ireland. It lies ten metres north of another ring ditch and keeps a western entrance, though quarrying has bitten into its southern edge. The Late Iron Age and “Roman” Ireland project revealed it through geophysical survey, suggesting people still shaped that hilltop long after formal records faded.

Geophysical survey (Licence no. 12R010) undertaken by the Discovery Programme as part of the ‘Late Iron Age and “Roman” Ireland’ project identified archaeological activity towards the summit of a prominent hilltop. Located c. 10m north of another ring ditch (DU005-174001-) this monument (8m diam.) appears to have a W entrance. It is truncated to the S by quarry activity (Dowling 2013, 9).
