Tradition of a Nunnery here (Carrigan 1905, vol. 1, 6). No surface remains visible. According to Carrigan there was in the townland of Ballybuggy a 'nunnery chapel of St. Bridget, which we identify with Colgan's 'Capella' of Kill-Bridge-Minor' (Carrigan 1905, vol. 1, 6). He goes on to say that 'St. Bridget is the patron of Ballybuggy; and it is the constant tradition of the locality that there was a Nunnery here, which she honoured with a visit, on the occasion of her journey from Kildare, to meet St. Patrick, at Cashel (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 342).
