Diarmuid and Grainne may have sheltered there during their flight, according to local tradition, though stones and soil no longer prove the claim. The oval scarp lies quarried and overgrown inside Woodlawn Demesne, reduced to a shallow wound in the earth. What remains is small enough to walk around in minutes, yet large enough to hold a lovesick ghost or a forgotten room.

In woodland within the former Woodlawn Demesne. Very poorly preserved oval enclosure (NNE-SSW 17.5m, NW-SE 14.3m) defined by an overgrown and much-quarried out scarp. A rectangular depression within the interior may also be the result of quarrying. According to local tradition, Diarmuid and Grainne spent a night here during their 'flight'.
