Ashlar limestone gate piers, built c.1780, with pair of wrought-iron gates, flanked by wrought-iron railings set on ashlar limestone plinth walls. Terminated by ashlar limestone gate piers set in rubble stone walls which enclose the demesne. Remains of ruined lodge to site.

These gates make a notable and positive contribute to Williamstown Cross Roads. The gates form part of a group of demesne related structures with Williamstown house, the former estate workers' houses, and related outbuildings. These wrought-iron gates and railings were clearly executed by a skilled craftsmen as were the ashlar limestone gate piers and plinth walls.
