Belfry is a tall circular stone tower built in 1832 by Fr. Matthew Horgan beside the R.C. chapel in County Cork. It has door opes on two floors, pointed windows, an embattled parapet on corbels, and a bell still hanging inside. The chamber may have served as a watchplace, a bell chamber or a small chapel tower, but its shape and height suggest pride as much as function.
