Inchturk

Inchturk is an islet in County Westmeath, Ireland. Perhaps water stripped every angle until the islet became a marble knob, smooth under rain and sharp against memory. Maybe people rowed past it without naming it, treating the rock as a boundary marker between living water and forgotten distance. Imagine a woman dropping rope beside it during storm, not to anchor but to measure how much of herself could still be carried.
