Thirty-five metres of posts still angle northeast across the Shannon estuary beside Portdrine, catching fish or marking a boundary in medieval water. The alignment narrows toward O’Brien’s Point, suggesting human hands shaped the tide’s path long before modern records.

On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to the townland of Portdrine. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 305) as a post-medieval or possibly medieval ‘post alignment, oriented NE-SW, 35m long, appears to converge with the SE end of O’Brien’s Point 1 [CL062-045001-] below LWM.
