Cooper's Rock hill still watches the River Laney valley, while a low mound hides a narrow chamber only one metre wide. Three overlapping stones on each side and a backstone at the eastern end form a small wedge pointing across the land. Another wedge tomb stands four hundred and fifty metres to the east, suggesting this was not a lonely act but a repeated local choice. People may have carried ancestors into that cramped stone gallery, trusting the hill and river to keep them company long after the living forgot their names.

At N foot of Cooper's Rock hill overlooking River Laney valley to W. Comprises gallery (L 1.85m,; Wth 1m at W, 0.9m at E end) aligned NE-SW, represented by three overlapping sidestones to N and S, and inset backstone at E end; surrounded by closely set outer walling. Prostrate slab outside W end; two displaced roofstones lie to N. Surrounded by low mound. Wedge-tomb (CO060-117----) stands 450m to ENE. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its construction and alignment reflect a regional tradition in south-west Ireland, with significance in understanding local funerary practices and landscape use during the transition between Neolithic and Bronze Age.
