Power (1940, 22) refers to '....a millstone (21in diameter and 8in thick) and timbers of a mill.... on O'Briens farm in this townland'. Possible remains of horizontal-wheeled mill. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
