What is recorded here
Unknown Townland records a graveslab belonging to James Luttrell, who died in 1667. The fact is clear even when the story behind it has thinned. A person lived, died, and was remembered with a marker. The townland has not answered every question, but it preserved enough to keep him visible.
In the churchyard of St Michan's (DU018-020084-) is a graveslab with a relief inscription in Roman letters commemorating James Luttrell who died in 1667 (Mems. Dead VI, 1904-6,519).
