Terraced three-bay three-storey house, c.1900, probably incorporating fabric of earlier house, pre-1840, on site with pubfront to ground floor. Renovated, pre-1993, with interior remodelled. Repaired, 2005. Now in alternative commercial use to ground floor. Pitched roof with fibre-cement slate, clay ridge tiles, rendered squat chimney stack over red brick Running bond construction having red brick capping supporting terracotta pots, rendered coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having iron ties. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with rendered quoins to ends. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, moulded rendered lugged surrounds, and two-over-two timber sash windows repaired, 2005. Pubfront to ground floor with polished pink granite pilasters on polished granite plinths having grey granite capitals, fixed-pane (two-light) timber display window behind iron railings on polished black granite plinth, glazed timber panelled door having overlight, replacement fascia, and moulded cornice. Interior to ground floor remodelled, pre-1993. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.

Probably having origins in an earlier predecessor indicated on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey, a pleasantly appointed house of the middle size represents an important element of the late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century built heritage of Wexford Town making a positive impression on the streetscape aesthetic of Main Street South. Having been well maintained, externally the house continues to present an early aspect with the elementary composition attributes surviving in place together with much of the historic or original fabric including a particularly fine pubfront of considerable artistic design merit displaying expert stone masonry in a variety of granite, thereby compensating somewhat for the loss of a celebrated interior scheme in the late twentieth century.
