Castle, unclassified: Mac William Burke built it at Ath Angaile in Corran in 1248, then O'Conor demolished it in 1270. Its exact location is unknown, but the annals preserve the clash: a castle made, a castle broken, a border argued with stone.

The Annals of the Four Masters record that in AD 1248 'A castle was erected by Mac William Burke at Ath Angaile in Corran' . In the year 1270 'the castle of Aith Angaile was demolished by O'Conor'.
