What is recorded here
Fairy forts are not human homes, though people often lived in them before believing they belonged to fairies. This is a human ringfort in Tulligmacthomas, County Limerick, with a circular bank about twenty metres across on a pasture slope. The earth has stood long enough for grass and shadow to claim most of it, leaving only a small northern clearing where the shape still reads like a room without walls.
In pasture, on a NE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 20m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. 1.3m) with an external fosse (D 0.15m; Wth 0.6m). All of site is covered by dense overgrowth except for small clearing at N.
